New Africa Fund – Africa Impact Fundraising Grant (AIFG)
About
The New Africa Fund's Africa Impact Fundraising Grant (AIFG) represents a transformative opportunity for African NGOs to revolutionize their fundraising capabilities and expand their impact across the continent. This comprehensive program goes beyond traditional funding by combining direct financial support with intensive capacity-building initiatives designed to create sustainable fundraising ecosystems within African civil society organizations. The program recognizes that effective fundraising is not just about securing immediate funds, but about building long-term organizational resilience and community engagement strategies. Through a unique blend of practical training, mentorship, and performance-based matching funds, AIFG empowers organizations to develop sophisticated fundraising skills while providing the safety net of fiscal sponsorship. The culminating intensive training in Kigali, Rwanda, creates a continental network of fundraising excellence, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among Africa's most promising civil society leaders. This initiative addresses a critical gap in the nonprofit sector by focusing on capacity building rather than merely providing one-time grants, ensuring that participating organizations emerge with enhanced capabilities to secure sustainable funding for their missions.
