Selection criteria
Leadership, service, academic achievement, and the ability to articulate impact. Reviewers want depth — sustained commitment to a few causes — over a long activity list.
Timeline
Application opens early August and closes end of October of your senior year. Semifinalists notified in November, finalists in February, scholars announced in March.
What the application asks
Activity list with leadership roles, short essays on impact, and a personal essay. The activity list is weighted heavily — quality and progression matter more than length.
Tips from past scholars
Show clear progression in your activities (member → leader → builder). Use concrete numbers where possible. Make the essays tell one coherent story about who you are.
